After my own health reckoning and thyroid cancer journey, I rebuilt my life around two truths: food can be medicine and boundaries are an act of love. Through The ApotheKerie, I help women in midlife rebuild their relationship with food and with their bodies, calm the estrogen–insulin–cortisol loop, and create habits that fit a real life, not a perfect one.

There was a season when I looked “fine” on the outside and was unraveling on the inside from fatigue, poor sleep, rising blood pressure, weight changes, and a voice I could barely hear.
Eleven years into nursing, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
On paper, I was managing.
In my body, I was depleted.
My days felt like survival mode: more sugar, more grit, less me.
Healing began the day I chose to stop outrunning myself.
I slowed down and listened to the whispers of my body.
I set loving limits with work, with people, and with the perfectionism that kept me hustling.
I returned to plants and nature.
I let my plate become medicine.
Step by step, my energy steadied, my sleep deepened, and my inner voice grew clear again.
That choice became my compass and my calling.
Today, through The ApotheKerie, I hold a clinical-meets-compassionate space for women navigating burnout, perimenopause/menopause, weight and mood swings, and the quiet in-between seasons no one talks about. We make room for your big dreams again and give you the structure to meet them.
